The plate is made of a round piece of wood and comes with six small bowls to hold the hold the ingredients that we use during the Seder.

The plate and the bows displays a painted colorful image of the old city of Jerusalem with exquisite details of Jerusalem’s landmark buildings such as Montefiore’s windmill, the walls and the famous golden roofs that gave the city its name, “Jerusalem of Gold under a sunny blue sky.

The plate is hand painted with acrylic paint and then have several layers of lacquer applied to ensure that the color is retained and the product is not damaged even when hand washed

The Artist

Artist Yair Emanuel, a graduate of the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, lives and works in Jerusalem.

Vivid and harmonious colors, as well as a mixture of the old and the new, characterize Emanuel’s work, which is designed and crafted in his Jerusalem studio.
