This unusual shofar is made from an authentic ram’s horn and measures 35 centimeters in length. The sides of the shofar are decorated with blue pomegranates and other fun flowers in blue, overlaid with a dotted floral pattern. The pomegranates are accompanied by a series of thin gold lines and sit on a Golden background edged with gold lines as well. The sound of the shofar has been heard throughout our history, most importantly during the giving of the Torah at Mount Sinai. Today, the shofar is used on Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, when the unique power of that same sound awakens the soul and renews spirituality.

Artist Lily Shohat lives and works in Israel, designer and creator of Judaica and beautiful decorative accessories. Her use of rich and exciting colors as well as the variety of techniques she employs on glass, metals and other materials, results in the creation of original Israeli art.
